Recycling bales stretching from London to Casablanca and back.
For the first time, the forthcoming EU Landfill Directive will place a legal obligation on all organisations to “pre-treat” any waste prior to being sent to landfill. In most cases, this will mean that organisations will be challenged to segregate and recycle as much waste as possible.
Recycling waste is by no means a new phenomenon however, and Orwak has been helping customers in the UK recycle their waste for nearly 35 years. In fact, every year Orwak machines help businesses recycle over 300,000 tonnes of waste. This is the equivalent of nearly 4 million bales of waste that are diverted from landfill. If these bales were laid end to end, they would stretch 4,000 km, or the equivalent of travelling from London to Casablanca and back!
